L'Artiste Marc Vanclair is the main content of this Autograph Letter signed by François Le Grix, to the Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci Blunt. Paris, May 31st 1954. One page, double-sided. In French. Excellent condition, including original envelopes. Marc Vanclair's Business Card with Autograph notes by VanClair included. This is a greeting letter, written by François Le Grix, to the Countess Pecci Blunt's, expressing his deep nostalgia for the time spent together at the Countess' residence in Marlia (Lucca). Moreover he introduce Marc Vanclair, with these words: "hollandais de passeport, français de language et de choisi, comédien de talent, journaliste visé", that will be in Rome to realize a report concerning Italian cinema and theatre. Remebering the great hospitality of the Countess, François Le Grix asks the same for his talented fried, Marc Vanclair. François Le Grix (1881-1966) became the director of the French literary review La Revue Hebdomadaire from October 1922 to 1939 . Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci-Blunt (Rome, 1885 - Marlia, 1971) Best-known as "Mimì" Pecci-Blunt , the Italian noblewoman was an art collector, patron and nephew of Pope Leo XIII. Extremely volcanic, she was very active in the cultural field, opening numerous lounges, galleries and theaters. In 1919 she married Cecil Blumenthal, later changed to Blunt, a wealthy Jewish banker from New York, heir to an important collection of nineteenth-century French painting. His Parisian and Roman salons was frequented by artists and intellectuals of the caliber of Salvador Dalì, Paul Valery, Poulenc, Paul Claudel, and Aldo Palazzeschi!
