As the sun slowly sinks behind the sea stacks, waves peacefully roll toward the shore. The sailboats on the horizon are illuminated in the twilight. "I painted the sky using thin glazes of paint to capture the glow of the setting sun," explains Gail Greene.
About the Artist
Gail Greene;s paintings rarely end up the way she started them. After an initial block in, she steps back and studies the canvas. Whether it;s adding a spontaneous waterfall or painting new cliffs, she;s usually tinkering with something. Her intention with art is simple ; to make the viewer feel good. When she;s not making art, Gail has her hands in many different pots. She;s a retired realtor, currently owns and operates a pet sitting service, and loves working in the garden in her spare time. The easel, though, is where Gail lets herself get lost.
