About the Item
Mixed media assemblage titled Fata Morgana II. Attributed to artist Gordon Wagner. Unsigned.
The image of a robed plastic figure is contained within the half egg- shaped dome; the figure is wearing a checkered black and white robe and is reflected in the mirror on the back panel. The egg dome depicts the image of a mirage of a ship at sea. We are showing various images of the figure within, which is holding two very small playing cards of a king and queen of heart (the half egg is 2.25" wide and 3.75" high. The miniature figure and playing cards are scaled within). Color variation in images is dependent on the angle, in attempt to show the figure within; image two is an accurate representation of the color of the artwork.
Book "Memories of the Future," shown in image 16 is not available for sale.
