wool tapestry ARP woven on verso Conceived, circa 1928-1930 and executed in the 1960s by Marie Cuttoli and Galerie Lucie Weill in Paris, France, in an edition of less than 15. Cuttoli's original interests were to Revive carpet weaving in Algeria. In 1910 she set up a workshop with local Algerian women to sell at haute-couture houses in Paris. This tapestry is one of only a few examples of this custom-woven, design made by Arp with Marie Cuttoli, owner of Galerie Vignon in Paris.
