About the Item

Jacques Chastenet de Castaing (Paris, 1893- 1978) was a French historian, diplomat and politician. Co-director (1932-42) of “Le Temps”, he wrote “Wellington”, “Le siècle de Victoria”, “Vingt ans d'histoire diplomatique”; “Churchill”, “Histoire de la Troisième République”. In 1956 he was elected by “Académie Française”. Autograph Card by J. Chastenet de Castaing to the Countess A. L. Pecci-Blunt. Paris, 27 th February 1934 (from the postmarks). On two-sided Business Card (7.1 x 9.3 cm) with Envelope (9.4 x 11.9 cm). In 32°. In French. In Excellent conditions. Compliments and Apology Note on J.
