"I used artistic license to ramp up the expression of color in this piece in an effort to enhance the feeling for the viewer," explains artist Jill Poyerd. "The goal was to communicate the vivid effect of the sun striking a meadow near midday. I painted this with an equal amount of palette knife and brushwork."
