Yarn Art from Peyote People
Huichol are famous for their beaded artwork and yarn paintings. This modern yarn painting is an outstanding display of geometry and creativity. It shows the peyote symbol at the center with star shape at the borders. Also some candles are displayed at the center, candles and peyote are very important during ceremonial activities of the Huichol indian people, they eat the peyote to acquire the vision that allows to communicate with the gods and create pieces like this and they use the candles as an offer during their pilgrimages to their sacred places. Some other sacred animals and figures such as the deer, the snake, the corn and votive feathers are displayed on their pieces. It is made of yarn mounted on a base of beeswax on a plywood board. Making an art like this takes patience, lots of talent and a centennial knowledge that is transmitted with love from one generation to the next.

City Flight. Elegant and unique hanging wall art
By Arozarena De La Fuente
Located in Mexico City, MX
The two artists and industrial designers, Ampi Arozarena and Elena De La Fuente describe form and color as their core of exploration. They admire the dual identity the two elements create in their works of art. They are driven by the optical and physical sensation materials become on their unique canvasses. Projected shadows upon their work are also an important factor, this effect is generated in these two works with a 3D abstract placement of the main elements. It´s unique and neutral colors are also very easy to combine in any surrounding.

Jaal - Kairi (Paisley) - Velvet Edition - Embroidered Tapestry Wall Hanging
Located in Asheville, NC
Jaali:
Jaali' of Urdu origin meaning netting, is an ornamental open work originally crafted on wood, metal and stone for interiors. A significant feature of Indo-Islamic art, the Jaali is an intricate pattern ranging from delicate trellises to complex floral layouts.
The wall panels depict the interlacing design of the Jaali in mid earth tones on silk. The compositions of flowers and the paisley are embroidered in thread with subtle highlightes of shine.
A note on handmade:
A handmade product is always appealing due to the irregularities in its workmanship. This is what sets it apart from machine made or computerized; the perfection they offer feels synthetic or artificial. Especially when one speaks of art and craft.
These wall panels are works of hand worked embroideries. Imperfections such as an occasional puckering of the base material are expected with the kind of embroidery stitches used.
You are assured these artworks are embroidered by highly skilled artisans (it is not possible for craftsmen of lesser experience to create these pieces) The materials used for the embroideries are of superior quality only.
