About the Artist
Artist Michael Orwick captures enthralling views of nature through landscapes with introspective tonal attributes. “The effects of light and atmosphere are what I remember about a location and what inspires me most,” shares Michael. He presents these fleeting moments and helps people see things again through new eyes. Art became his saving grace when he was phased with self-doubt as a young boy. His community gave him the understanding and encouragement he needed to help him build his confidence to express himself. Michael developed a style combining expressive brushstrokes with subtle impressionist components that build up ethereal ambiances. He works with his daughter at his home studio, filled with pieces they proudly display. Their comfortable seating provides the best view of their ongoing work open for critiquing. Michael’s paintings have been featured in numerous cities in the United States. Building a life around looking for and sharing beauty, he revels in traveling and hiking.
