A Greeting autograph postcard sent from Marina di Pisa, the last and definitive place of the artist when he was metitating and dictating his memories to his daughter Giorgia and to Olivia Rossetti Agresti.

Giovanni Costa (Rome, 1826 – Marina di Pisa, 1903), best-known as Nino Costa, was an Italian landscape painter and patriotic revolutionary. Leading exponent of nineteenth-century Roman painting, he contributed to spreading naturalistic ideas even among the members of the Macchiaioli painting movement. He is also remembered for having actively participated in the Garibaldi campaigns of 1848-49 and 1859.
