This painting portrays one of the paths at the Glendalough Monastery in Ireland. The concealed monastery hosts numerous ruins of chapels and burial sites, with their crumbling structures appearing to yield against nature reclaiming its territory. Painted on a rainy day, the subdued colors and loose brushwork evoke a sense of reverence, adding a contemplative tone to the piece.

About the Artist
Artist Onelio Marrero paints impressionist scenes of everyday life.
