Artist Onelio Marrero enjoys spending time with his family at the New Jersey shore. In this painting, his wife frolics in the shallow surf with two of their granddaughters. The slightly overcast skies recede into the horizon as the breeze blows the low cloud cover out to sea, blurring the horizon's edge. Onelio captured the roiling waves and turbulent shallow water with bold impasto strokes that enhance the gestures of the three figures.

About the Artist
Artist Onelio Marrero paints impressionist scenes of everyday life. Whether he captures the romanticism of New York City or the soothing quiet of a rippling pond, he infuses each piece with the visual magic of the moment.
