Artist Onelio Marrero painted this scene en plein air soon after a snow storm engulfed the woods in his area. Yellowing grass triumphantly emerges from the thick coat of fresh snow, while a dusting of snowfall covers the leafless trees. "I aimed to observe and record the bright sunlight that rendered a beautiful variation of blue shadows on the snow."

Onelio Marrero paints city scenes of everyday life.
