Ron Klotchman's expressionist portraits focus on dramatic love stories. With each piece, he includes a story written like a mini romance novel to give insight into the title and subject of the artwork. The colorful descriptions are endearing and personal, and offer a glimpse into Ron's world. Of this piece, he writes "He had come here many years before. He left with a feeling that was undefinable. Here, he felt connected to all things living. He knew if he brought her here, it would be the last step in completing the bonding between them they both hoped to achieve. Together, they set out on "A Pilgrimage to Tangier.""
About the Artist
Ron Klotchman approaches his work intuitively and is always in search of inspiration. By painting with quick, loose brushstrokes or a palette knife, he creates dynamic compositions. His current body of work presents "abstracted figures which tell a compelling narrative." With each work, he hopes to display the unique energy that characterizes his life. Ron is a self-taught artist who once worked as an actor before getting a job in the corporate world. After some soul searching, he decided to create art full time. When he;s not making art, you can find him playing guitar or reading at the beach.

Artist Diana Chelaru paints colorful expressionist interpretations of human emotion. “Art is a means of communication, it is how I express my thoughts, hopes, regrets, and joys,†says Diana. She experiments with working on large-scale paintings using the visual language of form, lines, and color to create compositions that exist only in her imagination. Growing up in Romania, she draws inspiration from Byzantine mosaics as well as Gustav Klimt’s subject matter and use of decorative patterns. She received her BFA in Painting from George Enescu Art University and finished her MA in Art History from Queens College. Diana simply goes with the flow rather than dwelling on the formulaic process. It all depends on how and what she feels at the moment.
