"I continue to find inspiration in the hidden places along the Pacific coast, especially the first blush of flowers that bloom along Highway 92 in early spring," shares artist Sheila Finch. "While painting these scenic fields outside Half Moon Bay, I often reflect on Claude Monet's quote - 'I must have flowers, always and always.'" A line of lavender leads the eye to the cabin in the distance while trees on both sides create a safe entryway revealing the mountain beyond.
About the Artist
Sheila spends many hours studying clouds from the cockpit of her sailboat on the California coast. She's frequently blessed with beaming sunrises and storms that create beautiful displays of light streaming across the ocean or shimmering off the nearby coastal mountain range. Sheila's award-winning paintings have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States and Europe. She has received recognition from the National Arts Appreciation Program, and her work has been exhibited at the prestigious L'Espace Bateau Lavoir in Paris.
