A lone seagull stands proudly atop a cluster of weathered brown rocks and tufts of coastal grass. A tranquil Oregon beach stretches beyond, where soft tan sand meets rolling waves along the horizon. Solitary yet commanding, the bird’s presence captures the quiet beauty of the shoreline.
About the Artist
Artist Steve Boggs captures the interplay of light and form in his layered, atmospheric, and still-life paintings. His artistic journey started with an accident. "I stumbled upon a book by an oil painter, and something clicked in my head - for the first time, I looked at a real professional painting and could see how it was done," says Steve. In his works, he seeks to balance realism with creative interpretation. Steve paints in a spacious and organized studio above his garage in Hendersonville, Tennessee. When not creating art, he enjoys perfecting Neapolitan and Roman pizzas, cooking Mediterranean and Southern barbecue, and continually honing his guitar skills.
