Since the 1990s, Heinsohn’s work has addressed climate change, impending cataclysm, and cultural dysfunction in numerous bodies of work including his mixed media wall reliefs, his "Time Frames" series of photo-based abstractions, and his turbulent, thickly painted, cratered abstractions. However, as mentioned in his recent statement: “Given the current dysfunctional mayhem of our planet, I believe we need visual art that provides a place for the mind to transcend our calamity, to thoughtfully explore the multitude of unknowns connected to our daily lives, and to thereby refresh our optimism and our sense of urgency in the reimagining of our existence.” These new works channel the meditative properties of abstraction pursued by Kandinsky and Malevich, combined with intuitive approaches of accessing higher consciousness which guided Hilma af Klint as well as, much later, artists of Abstract Surrealism such as Gordon Onslow Ford, Roberto Matta, Wolfgang Paalen...

Sunset on the River, England, Original Painting
Located in San Francisco, CA

Artist Comments
Artist Janet Dyer pictures an expressionist sun setting behind lakeside mountains. She captures the warm orange glow of the last moments of its descent. "Softly the evening came with the sunset," quotes Janet. In her trademark style of minimalist strokes, she envisions Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's iconic poetry.

About the Artist
Janet Dyer doesn’t like to spend too much time talking about her art, as she’d rather be creating it. She doesn’t have an artist statement, the traditional statement of purpose crafted by visual artists to explain their method. On becoming an artist, Janet simply states, “I picked up some crayons and pencils and brushes and kept using them.” She believes the process of creating art is equal in importance to the final product. The artist enjoys relinquishing control of her paintings to find delightful surprises in her so-called “mistakes.” Janet's expressively gestural yet bucolic landscapes are a testament to the success of her method.

Large 3D Cast Paper Abstract Oil Monoprint Unique Monotype Painting John Walker
Located in Surfside, FL
John Walker British (b. 1939) Salsipuedes Forms (1991) Monoprint relief print with dry pigment, monotype Hand signed lower right Provenance: Garner Tullis Workshop A monotype is literally one of a kind; it is not a method of multiplication. The artist makes an image with a liquid medium on wood, metal or glass, and paper is laid over the moist image and bonded under pressure the paper is then removed bringing with it the transposed monotype. John Walker (born 1939) is an English painter and printmaker. He has been called "one of the standout abstract painters of the last 50 years." Walker studied in Birmingham at the Moseley School of Art, and later the Birmingham School of Art and Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris. Some of his early work was inspired by abstract expressionist art and post-painterly abstraction, and often combined apparently three-dimensional, sculptural shapes with "flatter" elements. These pieces are usually rendered in acrylic paint. In the early 1970s, Walker made a series of large...

With quick textured strokes, artist George Peebles displays a prismatic multicolored tree at the center of a flat open field. Shades of orange, green, and violet make up the gleaming leaves. The bright blue sky lights up the mystifying background. He paints the piece with mindful thought and inspiration.

About the Artist
Award-winning artist, George Peebles specializes in contemporary panoramic scenes. Breathtaking combinations of brilliant hues and gradients of rich skies map out his paintings. “My art is a reflection of the place inside each of us where we connect to nature,” says George. Based in Michigan, he draws inspiration from electric moments within his environment. Each stroke is an inward expression of his emotions as he paints from memory. George, being colorblind views his work as a lifelong process that leads him to new concepts and ideas best expressed on his canvas. When he’s out of the studio, George works as a chef at their local hospital. His work is represented in eighteen healthcare facilities.

Artist Naoko Tadotsu displays ethereal expressionism with an image of a blazing tree. The sun sets behind it, giving its silhouette a dark translucent glow. The light reflecting from the river's surface filters through the leaves and twinkles like glass shards. The fiery orange hues against the blue and green accents give the composition warmth and brilliance.

About the Artist
Brilliant prismatic trees radiate in artist Naoko Tadotsu’s expressionist compositions. “I am always in awe of nature, color, and light,” says Naoko. These three facets establish her vibrant works in fluid strokes of vivid hues. Roots of her influence trace back to growing up in Osaka, where these elements were abundant. Naoko migrated to New York where she was immersed and fell in love with the world of art. What was once unexpressed inspiration inevitably translated onto the canvas. Her work often crosses into abstraction, capturing her feelings towards nature and painting it as its own entity. “The trees, like people, show different faces,” adds Naoko. In the same way, her pieces elicit different perspectives from every viewer. All Naoko needs is a portable easel...

Architectural Abstract Landscape of London in 3-Dimensional vision on Print
Located in London, GB
London, 2021 In this piece I try to express my feeling of the overwhelming containment and expansive architecture of London. I wanted to make the piece three dimensional - showing buildings moving in and out of the print - as well as the jumbled nature of the old and new. - Mike G Jackson "The goal isn't to replicate the real world - it is to show where the real world and the process meet - sometimes pushing towards the real world, sometimes pushing towards the process - but never completely at either extreme." - (the Artist: Mike G Jackson) Artwork detail: Unique One-off-piece; combining 4 x Prints, Selenium toned Silver Gleatin Luminogram Print, Hand printed in the darkroom, Framed Dimensions: 30 x 40 inches (76.2 x 102.6 cm approx plus frame); can be framed separately or in one frame upon request Frame: Mounted on aluminium Dibond, custom made hardwood frame (framing options available upon request; colour and various wood options) finish with antireflective UV protective AR Art Glass Mounting and framing of this work will be done after the purchase so the framing options like framing colour for example can be made according to specifications of the client; matt or gloss, black, white, metallic etc Shipping: the work would be crated for protection and shipped by professional art shipping company; front door delivery; complementary delivery and install available in London area About the Artist: Michael Jackson (b.1966) is an experimental photographer based in North Dorset, England. He studied art at West Dean College in Sussex, then apprenticed under landscape painter Christopher W Baker and later discovered his passion for photography. He moved away from working with traditional camera techniques in 2015 and is currently progressing the Luminogram process into new directions in which he has become regarded as a leading practitioner. Past awards and accolades include being named a Finalist for the Hasselblad Masters Award (2008, 2009, 2010) and winner of the 2013 Chris Beetles Award. His work has been exhibited internationally and is part of various private and public art and photography collections including The National Art Gallery in Washington, USA. Michael Jackson’s Luminograms are a very special piece of photographic art. Not a photograph in itself but a creative medium of its own. Each one is meticulously crafted by Michael in his darkroom. There are many structured stages to go through before the photographic paper can be hand developed and permanently fixed. Once Michael is happy with a finished Luminogram print it’s then toned in Selenium, which not only intensifies the prints tonality, but also increases the prints archival quality. Traditional photographic darkroom printing techniques have an unquestionable pedigree when it comes to the life expectancy of a photograph. Each Luminogram is unique and only one Silver Gelatin Print is produced of each image. The images reveal themselves with a 3D quality; viewed in the flesh the abstracted surreal forms within the paper come alive to the viewer. Michael Jackson’s Luminograms were exhibited for the first time at MMX Gallery in 2016; The Self Representation of Light exhibition and the following year at Photo London 2017 as well as next Photo London editions. The Luminogram work was also paired with theologian Edwin A. Abbott in a book published by 21st Editions, titled after the author’s famous work ‘FLATLAND’ and premiered in November at the Grand Palais in Paris, for Paris Photo 2017. Other recent group exhibitions include Light + Metal, PhotoEye Gallery, (USA) and Unbound 7, Candela Gallery, (USA), ATO>MIC, MMX Gallery, London 2022. “Mike Jackson...

Artist Comments
Artist James Hartman draws inspiration from the experience of seeing sunlit colors and details appearing through the strong vertical tree pattern. He expresses the painting sections to appear like stained glass. James highlights small areas where collaged 100-year-old paper show through the surface, he does this in a non-disruptive way. James applies heat to fuse the oils into a mixture of beeswax and damar crystals to seal the work.

About the Artist
When James Hartman was in art school, he became fascinated with the Society of Six, a group of artists who painted en plein air (outdoors) and exhibited together in the San Francisco Bay Area during the early 20th Century. James's paintings of the Northern California landscape pay tribute to some of the great Bay Area artists of the past. His expressive scenes feel alive through his vibrant use of color and his painterly brushwork. James’s paintings have an immediate visual impact from a distance, yet up close, dissolve into a series of confident marks and strokes. There is a simultaneous complexity and steadiness in his flattened, color-blocked planes. Knowledge and observation are essential elements of James’s working practice. To this end, he spends a large proportion of his time painting on location. His body of work captures the fresh and sunlit essence of the coastal California hills.

Woman with Red Hair, Oil Painting
Located in San Francisco, CA

Artist Comments
Artist Gary Leonard portrays a compelling figure of a woman with alluring red hair and a striking side profile. With her hands on her waist, she tilts her chin up in poised confidence. Gary captures her emotion with combined styles of realism and expressionism. The dark background creates a dramatic contrast and emphasizes the tonal palette making it appear to be three-dimensional. Pops of vibrant colors in teal, red, yellow, purple, and blue add points of interest and a dash of whimsy.

About the Artist
Through composition, color, texture and more, Gary Leonard celebrates beauty. His works start with the subject, but then he lets the work evolve into a more complex composition. Oftentimes, he enjoys merging figures with abstract images and varying textures. He hopes that his works will leave the viewer with a sense of warmth and peace. When he's not making art, he enjoys listening to music and learning how to play the piano.

Artist Rebecca Klementovich offers a vibrant mountainside view filled with multi-colored trees inspired by the Washington Valley of New Hampshire. "It is my favorite painting influenced by a hike on the mountain trail," shares Rebecca. "I grew up near the mountains and have spent so much time there. The light hitting the edges of the fall trees produces a subtle glow. It is this glow produced by the sunset that I was going for."

About the Artist
Artist Rebecca Klementovich paints expressionist views of the New England landscape. Merging her lifelong interest in fashion, she co-founded the group Femme Fatales of the North. "We are painting in gowns on the tops of mountains and slapping paint on canvases," says Rebecca. "We are an example of who the northern women are as artists." Her colorful palette and gestural style draw influence from her long career in the fashion world. Rebecca studied fashion illustration at FIT in New York and worked as a textile designer and art director for over twenty years. After leaving New York, she moved to northern New Hampshire near Mount Washington. "The mountains are nostalgic and lyrical, and this greatly affected my landscapes." Today, she spends many hours observing the fields, forest and sky, and the changing seasons.
