About the Item

These whimsical mixed metal bronze pots feature plump bug-eyed toads, warts and all with gaping mouths. These make excellent vases and have metal removable liners. The toads’ bellies have a floral design featuring leaves, flowers and a single quail. They bear an inscribed artist’s signature on the base and are in excellent condition (wear consistent with age). They measure: 3 5/8"high x 4"wide x 4 1/4"deep. Combined weight is approximately 4 ½ pounds.

Edith Baretto Parsons (1878-1956) pair of lost-wax cast patinated bronze dog sculptures. The seated pup is signed in the cast “E.B. Parsons” and cold stamped Gorham Co. OFFW. It measures 5 3/4"high x 6 7/8"long x 2 1/2"wide. The leaping pup is signed in the cast “E.B. Parsons,” dated 1911 and cold stamped B. Zoppo Foundry, N.Y.
