About the Item
This Victorian wooden string box is very intricately painted by hand. There are beautiful scenes featuring peacocks around the box and a peacock with outstretched feathers on the lid. At the bottom of the box is a stamp reading "Made in England." The patina of the wood and quality of the box is outstanding. This string box would be a joy to own.
