This is a Autograph Greeting Postcard Signed by Vittorio Rieti to the Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci-Blunt.
Rome, July 27th 1954. In Italian. Excellent condition, except for a usual yellowing of the paper. Signed "Vittorio".
The Italian-American composer, after his American emigration and succes, never forgets to write and see again his mentor and patron of arts, the Countess Pecci-Blunt!
Vittorio Rieti (Alessandria d'Egitto, 1898 – New York, 1994)
Vittorio Rieti was a Jewish-Italian-American composer, best-known for his tonal and neo-classical music. Firstly he moved to Rome under the teaching of Respighi and Casella, and lived there until 1940.In 1925, he temporarily moved to Paris and composed music for George Balanchine's ballet for Diaghilev's Ballets Russes, Barabau.
In 1940 Rieti emigrated to the United States, becoming a naturalized American citizen on the 1st of June 1944. He taught at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore (1948–49), Chicago Musical College (1950–54), Queens College, New York (1958–60), and New York College of Music (1960–64).

Carlo Quaglia (Terni, 1903 - Rome,1970)
The Italian painter Carlo Quaglia discovered his passions when he was an official in Libya, in the thirties, in Benghazi, Sirte and Derna. At the beginning of the Second World War, in 1940, he was taken prisoner by the British and transferred to India at Camp 27 of Yol on the slopes of the Himalayas. He spent five years of imprisonment devoting himself to the study of the arts, practicing the first painting tests that will lead him to take the decision to become a painter. Upon returning to Italy he took his leave and began his career as an artist. His was a short and successful career that led him to critical and public success. In his painting we find the colors of the Roman School of Scipio, Mario Mafai and Antonietta Raphaël...

Peter Gee (1932–2005) was a British-born artist and developer who spent most of his life living and working in New York City. He was active in the pop art movement of the 60s.
Biography:
Gee was born on July 23, 1932 in Leicestershire, England. He was interested in drawing as a child and worked as a graphic designer for the British army when he joined at the age of 18. By the end of the 50s, he had exhibited at the Denise Rene Gallery in Paris, where he lived briefly, and the Axiom Gallery in London. He came to the US in 1962.
Throughout the 60s, Gee experienced a high degree of success as a pop artist in Manhattan. His work from this era has been collected by The Museum of Modern Art in both New York City and Kyoto, The Smithsonian and the Library of Congress in Washington DC, and The Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Gee exhibited with Andy Warhol and Robert Indiana for the "Word and Image" show in 1968 at the Museum of Modern Art. During this time, he was also teaching classes at the New School, the School of Visual Arts, and the Harvard Architectural School.
