Atlas 1807, Oz (2018) is an abstract painting by Spanish contemporary artist Albano.
This painting is comprised of geometric shapes, superimposed, mixed together. In the background, checkered patterns of various types, often a feature of Albano's works, disappear behind the different geometric shapes of the composition. In places, there is a build up of paint which seems to have been rubbed onto the canvas.. The diversity of the materials - oil, acrylic, graphite even enamel - and the different motifs which make up the painting draw the viewer ever deeper into the work.
Work titled, dated and signed on the back. 76 cm × 50 cm.
