About the Item
Céline is painted with Acrylic on a cotton canvas - 100 gsm My process starts with drawing the outlines of a face. One another piece of transparent paper I draw lines & shapes inspired by Nature - mostly Flora. I then decide on the position of the figure and shapes in relation to the size of the paper and how I want the white spaces to work with colour. I choose between 2 & 6 colours to work with which I then decline in different shades, tones and hues, giving me the freedom to work with and unlimited amount of colour. I used 4 colours for painting Céline: Blue, Red, White & Yellow. The painting holds 10 shades. Céline is part of a series that narrate a story, express emotions and hope to represent the elusive, intangible and moving elements of trauma.
