We are please to announce that we are now representing the Pop Art paintings of the artist Matt Straub. We at the gallery have been following his career and have been excited about his POP paintings for more than a decade and are thrilled to be representing his art at our gallery. Some have compared Straub's graffiti paintings to Banksy. This painting titled "I am Nature" refers to a Jackson Pollock quote. When Pollock was asked if nature inspires his work, he replied "I am Nature". This oil on canvas painting with mixed media is in Matt Straub's GRAFFITI STREET POP style. It is a mash up of his styles of Graffiti, pop and abstract painting combined with stylized figures. I have included several close up detail images to show the surface texture of the painting. Straub, famous for his classic Pop Western images of cowboys and cowgirls of the American West has created this mash up of iconic characters with pop imagery painted in his unique Street Pop Graffiti style. Straub's Street Pop paintings combine painted textures and alluring colors along with his captivating interpretation of classic Characters beloved by the world. This oil painting on canvas titled "I am Nature" measures 30x40". It is signed and dated on the verso.
