Carla Sá Fernandes
Green No. 1 (On Cork), Painting, Oil on Other

2018

About the Item

My cork series is a statement of my Portuguese origins. It's a coming back to nature, to raw, to minimalism, to simplicity,... This is a one of a kind painting, an absolutely spontaneous, vibrant and unique creation by Carla Sá Fernandes. This high quality oil and acrylic painting is done on natural cork fabric (cork leather) stretched on a wood frame, gallery wrapped, with no need for framing, as the edges are on cork. You will receive it "ready to hang", with a hook on the back. It is an exquisite work of art, due to the effect of the natural cork. Really one of a kind! This painting is signed on the side and back and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. About cork: ? it's a 100% natural raw material, that is 100% reusable and 100% recyclable, extracted from cork oaks without harming the normal development of the species and without damaging the tree. The extracted cork is 100% harnessed.  ? the production of cork does not destroy trees. After harvesting, the cork oak undergoes a process of self-regeneration not seen in any other species. © 2018 Carla Sá Fernandes.
