Carolanna Parlato uses her vibrant, diaphanous puffs of color to punctuate the layered textures of paint beneath them. These bold visual interruptions stand in stark contrast to their tightly-woven acrylic neighbors; an explosive surprise in the otherwise ordered mesh-like ground.
