Parris Jaru's Shaped by the Elements is a 60 x 39 inches oil painting representing a poem laid on a green background. The modulated green shades frame the poem placed in the center. The surface is defined by a thick impasto of paint, made with plant based pigments that Jaru collects himself during his long exploratory trips through India.
