- Paintscape No.28By Charles EckartLocated in Mill Valley, CAGrowing up in Yosemite Valley in the 50s, Charles Eckart was surrounded by majestic beauty in a place where long hikes and the change of seasons might well turn the creative mind inward. Eckart made a name for himself painting the abstract figure. He caught the eye of Allan Stone in New York, who brought them to Charles Campbell’s attention in San Francisco. In the 1990s Eckart turned his attention toward the landscape creating richly layered color fields. These are intelligent paintings often taking months to complete. The deliberate application of pigment results in a luscious surface and incredible depth inviting close study and discovery of the intensity within. Charles Eckart attended the University of the Pacific, the Art Center of College and Design in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Art Institute. He exhibited regularly with Charles Campbell Gallery from 1980 to 1989 and then with the CampbellThiebaud Gallery...Category

- Santa Ana - acrylic on canvasLocated in West Hollywood, CANina is an artist, ceramist and colorist with 20 years of professional experience and a lifetime of art appreciation. Originally from Virginia and having traveled and lived extensively worldwide she now resides as a full-time artist and ceramist in Los Angeles. With a degree in psychology and training in ceramics, painting was a natural transition and expansion to her repertoire from an early age. With color and form as her guide, her artwork flows from spontaneous and spiritual inspiration. Influenced by her travels with the play of color and light, her paintings reflect nature, spirit and a place of tranquility. There’s a touch of magic, secrets and a touch of the unknown in every painting, when painting ”time stops and almost an altered state of consciousness overtakes as the painting evolves”. Nina’s artwork has been shown in California, New York, Berlin, Montreal, Texas and Tokyo Japan. Santa Ana...Category
