Sailing the Bays is an abstract oil on canvas that represents the five bays that surround the towns of Osterville and Cotuit on Cape Cod. The bays are precious waterways that sailors enjoy for their afternoon sails around this part of the Cape which overlooks Nantucket Sound. These waters have become polluted with fertilizers from properties around the bays that run into the water. This is an issue that is being addressed by the community as they are educated about their precious resources. The colors of blue, green, and yellow are soft on the eyes. The abstract painting enraptures the colors of nature. The painting light and captures your attention as it brings your eyes around the painting, though the shapes of the painting with sail boats floating on the water.
