About the Item
Denise Driscoll's "Circles 34" is a 24 x 24 inch abstract geometric acrylic painting in bright magenta, orange, teal and yellow with a layer of iridescent dots that form an interlocking network of petals and circles pierced by deep black shapes. Based on a pattern of interlocking circles arranged on a penciled grid, the under-layers of paint are applied in delicate fractals and washes of magenta, orange, yellow and green. This 24 x 24 in. painting is on a birch panel with 1.5 inch sides painted in washes of magenta. The painting is signed on the back.
Denise Driscoll is a contemporary painter exploring themes of interconnection, inner experience and invisible social structures. Her work has been shown and collected throughout New England. Driscoll is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.
