About the Item
A painting completed after experiencing the raw beauty of the Inner Hebrides, particularly Skye. The raw dramatic beauty of the landscape and the unpredictable weather fronts that can change so rapidly all feed into my paintings.
It is painted with oils on a cradled panel and comes unframed for your own choice of frame or can be hung without a frame. It is 50 x 50cm x 2.5cm depth and is mainly greens blues and greys.

"I love being in nature and concentrate on using paint as a vehicle to convey the intimacy of my surroundings and the sense of belonging and affinity with landscape. The landscape drives me to capture atmosphere when I am in wild places and I use these feelings and experiences in a very loose and ephemeral way to create my own personal view of the landscape. Most of my work is completed in the studio after drawing and painting outdoors." - Elaine Fox
