Winter's Edge is an original painting by artist, Fleur Park. Here we see Fleur Park explore the movement in the ever changing nature of winter weather. Fleur Park's art is influenced by the push and pull of her country life vs her old city life. The juxtaposition of these two is seen in most of her work. The fields that surround her in her country life and in her childhood give her the sense of home and space and in this particular piece she presents the movement between spaces. The green circular form moving through the composition suggests her movement through the contrasting landscapes of the countryside and city. Colour is also an important factor for Fleur as she is influenced by nature and natural raw colours found within the environment.
