Polymer and spray paint on canvas supported by polycarbonate & canvas key frame Unique & hand signed work Gérard Pairé is a French autodidact artist born in 1950 who lives & works in Saint Martin-aux-Buneaux, Seine-Maritime in France. Our perception of the world is increasingly fluid and immaterial and Gérard Pairé clearly aims for the very flesh of painting and chance as such. He displays his belief on different levels and freely delivers it in his works, so as to convince us, eventually, that what is essential in painting is painting itself. He has been featured in 2002 in movie named Painting in Absence by Christine Buci-Glucksmann.
