About the Item
A big expressive piece in old school layering technique, just like the Dutch masters did it: first handmade gouache, then handmade egg tempera and last but not least oil. This way the painting can have very soft and tender spots as well as strong parts with mark making. Also, in this series you will find calligraphy with graphite. The painting is about the obstacles we have to deal with in life, the good and the bad this offers us and the strongness we will have from this journey. 120x80x2 cm, gouache, eggtempera, pastels, oil and graphite on canvas. Sides painted black with painting traces. Sigend on the back, ready to hang. Black frame would look great but is not needed.
