This is not an intense, chaotic or loud painting. You will love living with this painting in your space. It is gentle in energy yet dynamic with so much depth with its subtlety and softness.

It has a soft, ethereal monochromatic palette of white, pale light blue, dark blue oil stick creating layers that evoke a feeling of being underwater, blowing bubbles. The artist has used glossy and matte varnish to create an ever changing light effect on the surface of the painting as it changes with the light of the day in whatever environment it’s in.
This body of work is my interpretation of how light hits water, how water changes with breath, how air takes form and floats thru water, and how time visually manifests in nature. The trifecta of all these elements come together in translucent and effervescent, light layers on the surface of the canvas with depth and dreamy calm in a soft meditative quality.
It’s me blowing bubbles and getting lost on light patterns under water. It’s every breath I take that smells of eucalyptus.
It's my wonder and fascination with lichen in Italy. Lichen that covers Cortona. Lichen that has been there for hundreds of years, creating beautiful, unplanned patterns on surfaces
Its “schizzato” in Italy, or splatterware, that has simple and humble origins- a centuries-old technique that was used to easily add a splash of color to everyday earthenware which was otherwise unadorned.
It’s the silhouette of the magnolia flower, the queen of all flowers. Even as she fades, deteriorates and withers she remains an emblem of strength and beauty.
It's how the sea and sky meet in the valley of Cortona and coastal southern California.
It’s the place of quiet, calm and stillness while the world implodes in dark places.
It’s where I meet myself again in a state of meditative flow.
