About the Item
Artist Comments
Deep blues flow across an abstract seascape, with scattered mirrors of light on the surface. This piece was inspired by the many times artist Kajal Zaveri has spent near the ocean. "The breathtaking views and everything I see at the coast is truly inspiring," shares Kajal. She rendered the work in textured oil paint with sweeping brushstrokes. Kajal aims to spark fond memories and transport viewers to their own peaceful sanctuary.
About the Artist
Kajal Zaveri uses her observations, encounters, and memories of beautiful, natural scenes as the basis for her abstract works. “The colors and styling of my pieces evoke that sense of gratitude, joy, amazement and wonderment that I feel every day,” she explains. She hopes her paintings spark the viewer’s own fond memories of certain places and times. When she’s not painting, she enjoys reading and cooking recipes from around the world.

- Blue Chip Coffee, Abstract Oil PaintingBy Rachel SrinivasanLocated in San Francisco, CA
Artist Comments
Part of artist Rachel Srinivasan's signature cubist coffee series. For these pieces, she studies her extensive collection of cafetieres that she keeps in her studio. The works are both about celebrating her love of coffee, and depicting light, pattern, and repetition as though it were set to music.About the Artist
For Rachel Srinivasan, an idea is worth putting on a canvas only if it still feels exciting after a few days. Rachel enjoys mulling the idea over in her mind for some time before creating an artwork. She hopes viewers will engage with her work and wonder about the subject matter, shapes and colors. "My current work is all about creating a connection between the person on the canvas with the viewer," she explains. She prefers large paintings and sometimes even makes her own canvases. She currently lives in Arizona and enjoys baking rhubarb pies, reading, running and going to art museums.Words that describe this painting: coffee, caffeine, cubism, espresso, still life, repetition, cubist, Picasso, Georges Braque, abstract, cuisine, non-representational, modern , oil painting, grey
