Karl Momen
Karl Momen is a Swedish-American artist, born in Mashad, Iran, and educated in art and architecture from the Stuttgart Art Academy in Germany. After establishing himself as a successful architect, he decided to devote himself entirely to his artwork. Since then, his work has been exhibited widely at numerous museums, art centers, and at several international art biennials. His paintings and sculptures are represented in numerous public and private collections in Europe, the United States, and Japan. The artistic trajectory of Karl Momen, painter, sculptor, architect, and set designer, spans more than five decades. Momen’s work, from 1960 to the present, provides a unique insight into the mind, life history, and artistic output of one of the foremost exponents of European constructivism and geometric abstraction in our day.
