Kusbudiyanto is an Indonesian artist born in 1969 who lives & works in Jogjakarta, Indonesia.
Technological development and change can not be avoided, even we must face with positively. Because technological development is able to create the future of mankind. But that change and technological advancements can provide side effects about environmental damage, especially damage to ecosystems both terrestrial air and the sea if not done wisely and correctly. The painter wants to tell about the damage to the ecosystem of the sea by humans, The damage cause by garbage disposal and factory waste into the sea that causing a turtle trapped in a mountain of garbage. To survive, the turtles must swimming in a sea full of rubbish. If this is not fixed immediately, maybe in the future, our children and grandchildren cannot enjoy the beauty and diversity of our marine habitat and beauty.
