NOTE: The installation view shown here is of a previous installation of 25 paintings. Not all of these works are still available but if a large installation of paintings is of interested (we are suggesting 15 - 3 rows of 5 each - but that number can be tweaked) we will send images of the works available for your selection.
Suggested installation is 6" in between paintings but spacing can vary to accommodate different situations.
Smaller pairings of 2 paintings, 3 - 4 paintings, etc., are also an option.
Linda Holt's fluid style and gorgeous palette come together to beautifully create this sparkling, lush body of work. Colors are bright oranges, reds, white, yellows, lavender, aqua, pale blue and green, among others.
Holt has an exquisite sense of color and a masterful touch. Though quite sophisticated these works shitmmer with a playful and delightful presence. The paint surface is heavy impasto.
Paintings are unframed and framing is unnecessary as the sides are painted white:

Linda Holt also considers these 8" x 8" canvases as studies for commissioned works that can be scaled up in any size, price on request. In addition to the 8" x 8's there are several 30" x 30" abstractions currently available.
Linda Holt was raised in Philadelphia and lived in England, Alabama and Virginia before attending the Paris American High School and graduating from Skidmore College with a BS in fine art in 1970. She received an MFA in Painting from the University of Pennsylvania where she studied with Neil Welliver. Holt’s paintings have been seen in 19 one-person exhibitions, over 50 group exhibitions, and in addition to numerous private collections, works are included in many public collections including the Wichita Center for the Arts, Wellington Management, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Fidelity Investments, Mass General Hospital, and the Seaport and Reef Hotels.
Selected reviews include articles in “The Boston Globe,” “Art New England,” and the “Houston Chronicle.” She was awarded the Nathaniel Saltonstall Purchase Prize in Drawing, has been a Trustee and Visiting Artist at Montserrat College, a Guest Critic at FIT in New York, and a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania.
The artist resides in Boston and has been represented by the Beth Urdang Gallery since 1995.
