"'Going Outside' is a 48x60 mixed media abstract landscape painting. The colors and the composition are an emotional response to beauty and energy found in moments of reflection in the natural beauty of the landscape."
About the Artist:
Maggie Jones Boudreaux loves all things, she is naturally curious and enjoys exploring all things to do with color, line and shape. Her consistency is inconsistency. Her work varies as her life varies. She enjoys creating abstracts, landscapes and botanicals. Maggie finds joy working in bright vibrant rich colors and find peace in soothing, calming neutrals. She says, "I cant't ever imagine sticking to one palette nor one subject matter. I believe it would take the joy out creating for me." Her enthusiasm comes from a natural curiosity of the world that surrounds her. What's next? She is unsure... It is her aim to put one foot in front of the other and create based upon her daily experiences and blessings life brings her way. This is her spark. Her Joy. Maggie says, "She is forever grateful to be who she is and where she is. Her work is a response, an expression of her gratitude. Maggie Jones Boudreaux has been working as a professional artist for the past fifteen years. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting with an emphasis in printing making as well a Masters of Education.
