About the Item
Marcia Wise's 'Landscape of Dreams' is a 12 x 12 inch abstract oil painting with highlights yellows and oranges. In this memory-based painting. Wise uses palette and putty knives instead of a brush, so that the layers are created in an addition and reduction process allowing all the layers to be seen in the finish. The painting is unframed and signed by the artist on the reverse.
Marcia Wise is a Massachusetts-based contemporary oil painter and educator whose paintings are inspired by nature's landscape forms and patterns, color relationships, light effects and reflections, and the play of textures. Her work has been exhibited and collected nationally. Wise is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.
