About the Item
I'm interested in the physicality of the painting process, and how this physical process connects me to the messy processes of paint application and decision-making. I'm interested in the human interaction with the process of making a painting, and through this process of applying and covering paint and imagery a language evolves. I'm interested in exploring a language of complexity and nuance, that reflects the physical and metaphysical. I want to explore a language that is, at the same time, steady and subversive, addressing current struggles and hopes.
With each painting I want to explore and push my boundaries past my last attempt. Through the lens of exploration and an urgency to say something, my paintings come to be.
