Artist Commentary:
I portray vignettes from my travels in the Philippines by painting with layers of sprayed acrylic paint . This painting is from the Brownout series pertaining to the short-term and unpredictable power outages which roll through the power grid. There is not enough electricity to power the whole grid at one time, as a result, the power is shut off in some areas while it supplies others.
