made for Marilina Marchica's personal exhibition "Lo spazio Fragile".
A series of Artworks not to forget the 1968 Belìce earthquake,
was a violent seismic event, of magnitude 6.4 moment, which in the night between 14 and 15 January 1968
hit a large area of western Sicily, the Belìce Valley, between the provinces of Trapani, Agrigento and Palermo,
many countries were razed to the ground and today what remains are only fragments and rubble
Marilina Marchica has chosen to focus on the ruins
connecting in symbiosis with his own aesthetic investigation, crossed by constant attention to the weak dividing line between absence and presence.
