“… His plastic work is defined by having a remarkable expressive force. The painting itself becomes the center in itself and calls for dialogue, emotion. The lines burst and take over the space, merging with the opposing textures, which are broken, perhaps structurally, but which go beyond the limits established by the frame of the piece ... he uses the pretext of contradiction to generate an analysis personal. The visualization of his paintings occurs in a coherent process of constant experimental search. "
Mario González Rodríguez
The abstract work of Mario González is based on the composition reduced to an arrangement of colors that vibrates between one layer and another due to the variation of the lights. Where it carries with it an implicit harmony of proportions and even becomes the symbol of absolute calm and ideal perfection. It is the apex of simplicity and mental order in a magical world where color has replaced the changeable approach of the senses and feelings to make it part of reality.
Several personal exhibitions and group exhibitions both inside and outside of Cuba, as well as participation in Biennales de la Habana, the most important plastic arts event in the country.
