The peaceful motion of a pause. My inspiration for this series came from a beautiful dream, where I was at Treasure Island Beach in Laguna Beach, CA. After spending hundreds of hours at this coastal location, several painting series have emerged. This painting is on gallery wrapped linen with finished grey edges. It comes ready to hang.
About the Artist
Michele Morata takes a very spiritual approach to painting, letting each piece come through her. Her works feel abstract, atmospheric, and serene. She currently lives in California, near the ocean and mountains, and finds inspiration in meditation and positive human emotions. Fun fact: she considers herself an eco-friendly artist and has researched mediums that are organic or recycled in nature.

- Winter Song, Abstract Oil PaintingBy Valerie BerkelyLocated in San Francisco, CA
Artist Comments
The frosted ground crackles beneath each step on a crisp winter day. Cool green and blue tones envelop the forest scene, extending from the ground to the wooded area. The transparent hues applied on textured surfaces convey the wintry ambiance of the landscape.About the Artist
Valerie Berkely uses her finger tips as brushes to create her abstract paintings. For Valerie, the art is all about the process, the paint, her mood, and the moment. She admires the artist Wolf Kahn, who once said, “the picture is the conclusion of an experiment in which the hint of an image becomes actuality." Like Kahn, Valerie’s paintings combine pictorial landscapes with painterly abstraction. The vibrant primary colors capture the hues of the sun rising and setting, and the texture of her fingers across the surface divides sea, land, and sky. There is something very dreamy about these works, exemplified by their color, texture, and atmospheric quality. Valerie’s first “art epiphany†was seeing Seurat's La Grande Jatte at the Art Institute of Chicago. “Bowled me over! I actually fell down. And I knew I was to become a painter.â€Words that describe this painting: winter, cool, field, forest, season, woods, fog, mist, snow, abstract, nature, oil painting
