About the Item
Original acrylic on masonite abstract painting by Nguyen (Manh Doc) Ducman. Signed and dated 1968 lower right. Condition is good. Provenance: Long Island, New York estate. Presently unframed.
Born in Hanoi, Vietnam in 1934, the artist Nguyen Manh Duc Ducman came to Paris as a young man, where he exhibited his work at the Galerie René Drouin. His career got a boost when Ducman moved to New York in 1965, where he received a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation and attracted the attention of art dealer Alan Stone.
