About the Item

Using his characteristic rich earthy palette, Otto Rogers has captured the subtle variations in light as it changes along a seashore. This piece has soft grays, rich brown, and black colours highlighted by a flash of royal blue and burnt orange. As one of Canada’s preeminent modernist artists, Rogers found inspiration in both his deep faith as a Baha’i and the beauty of nature so often reflected in his stunning work. Rogers’ work is held in more than 30 public collections including: the Art Gallery of Ontario, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Framed dimensions 37 x 29 inches
