About the Item

Paula DeLuccia believes that being able to make art is a multi-layered gift. For her, being artist requires courage to believe in yourself enough to enter the studio, to push the work, and to destroy it in order to move on and expand. She has learned that she is better off expanding her experience rather than narrowing it. While in her studio, DeLuccia pays attention to her mental dialogue which is sometimes disquieting chatter that she attempts to suppress, while at other times it hums along in the background. “What gets made is a combination of everything I’ve seen and experienced.” – Paula DeLuccia DeLuccia studied at the Kansas City Art Institute, MO, and the Ridgewood School of Art, NJ. She has had solo exhibitions at the Sideshow Gallery, NY, The Hair Gallery, NY, among several other two person and group exhibitions. DeLuccia has works in public and private collections including the City of Barcelona, Spain; Art/Omi, NY; Pondside Press, NY, and more.
