2016

About the Item

Paweł Myszka graduated from the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Graphic Design and Painting and graduated with honors under the supervision of Professor Mieczyslaw Wasilewski, Prof Ewa Pełka and PhD Aneta Jaźwińska. The adjectives that best reflect Paweł Myszka’s works are: defiant, cool, psychedelic, energetic, joyful. After years of work in advertising, the artist decided to realize his own artistic vision, derived from personal fascination. Paweł Myszka’s art is based on the trends of abstraction, expression, pop and street art. The artist is inspired by such phenomena of mass and youth culture as graffiti and alternative music. He creates largely improvised compositions. They are the visions created through the influence of music, wherein among abstract, colorful forms, there are expressively drawn faces and animals – occasionally supplemented by a verbal comment. Paweł Myszka’s paintings are characterized by the intensity of the poster color and the chaos in the element of graffiti. The works reflect the hustle and bustle in music clubs, and the energetic atmosphere there. Paweł Myszka’s works have bee presented at artistic events as: International Poster Biennale, Polish Poster Salon, Łódź Design Festival. In 2010 he won the first prize in the category of mixed techniques in the Competition of Governmental Producers of Postage Stamps in Brazil.
