Presenting for the first time in decades, an exceptional geometric abstract oil painting by American artist Philip Pinner, 1910-1977.
Equilateral Variations, is an original oil on canvas, signed, dated 1944, with an image dimension of 16 x 20 inches, excellent original condition, beautifully framed.
Born in San Francisco, CA on July 13, 1910. Pinner studied at the CSFA, Schaeffer School of Design, Art Center School in Los Angeles, and with Maynard Dixon. He was active in the local art scene until his death in his native city on April 29, 1977. Exh: San Francisco Art Association, 1931-45; Oakland Art Gallery, 1932, 1934; SFMA, 1935, 1945, 1946; GGIE, 1939; CPLH, 1945, 1946; Stanford University, 1946. In: SFMA. Eden Hughes.
