About the Item
"Emerging" by Robert Glick is a captivating 30" x 30" acrylic on canvas that celebrates the simplicity and elegance of minimal abstraction. Dominated by a palette of soothing blues, from cerulean to sapphire, interlaced with crisp white lines, this piece creates a serene and introspective atmosphere. The geometric composition is balanced by a singular, fluid line drawing of a face that gives the impression of a figure coming into being, or an identity just beginning to take shape. About the Artist:
In his Carmel-by-the-Sea studio, Robert Glick loves to explore various styles of painting while employing a variety of refined artistic skills. The art is dynamic, confident, attractive, and thoughtful. The painting styles often span representational, cubist, surreal, and the more experimental, and are created with acrylics and oils. In addition to representation at AAG, Robert’s work has also been exhibited in three of the triennial Schaefer Portrait Challenges at both the Honolulu Museum of Art at First Hawaiian Center and in Maui’s Schaefer International Gallery. Participation in other juried shows includes many Art Maui exhibitions and in the Hui No’eau Arts Center Group Shows. His work is found in private collections in Carmel-by-the-Sea and Redwood City, California; in Phoenix, Arizona; as well as in Wailea, Hawaii.
Robert’s studies in art and design have been at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, the Kootenay School of Art, and the Vancouver School of Art, both in British Columbia, Canada.
